About the Role

The main purpose of the job

HR Assistant is responsible for all HR-related activities within the organisation and to support the recruitment process. The role will report directly to the HR Manager, it will support with the responsibility for all HR-related tasks, and introduces/implements current and future HR policies and procedures throughout the business. The post holder is also responsible for recruiting new staff and helping with delivering the induction training to support recruits into the business and existing employees.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to queries from managers and staff, ensuring all queries are dealt with correctly

  • Organize staff files, maintain employees’ records, update documents etc.

  • Manage holiday requests, sick leaves, and daily queries under the guidance of the line manager

  • Manage employees’ work permit documents with company lawyer

  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, manuals, folders, induction, and training documentation.

  • Administer recruitment process, place advertisements, and sift CVs received

  • Responsible for all key HR transactions including new starters and leavers

  • Draft letters related to discipline, grievance, absence, maternity, and flexible working

  • Assist in managing employee’s grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures

  • Review and update all HR policies, staying up to date with legislation

  • Responsible for Absence management & Annual Holiday management

  • Support in the development of HR strategy


Skills required:

  • Relevant HR qualification - Bachelor’s Degree or above from an accredited institution of higher education

  • An awareness of employment law issues

  • Exceptional level of English (minimum C1)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong attention to detail, availability to work independently and under pressure

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills


What You Need:

  • 2:2 (or equivalent) or above in your chosen degree discipline

  • At least one year experience in administration, HR or finance

  • Either professional qualifications, or a specialism in your degree, in HR or finance

About the Company

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate, Freelance

Salary: £28,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Monday to Friday
8 Hour Shifts
